Growing up, I watched my dad build things in the garage. I didn’t know it then, but I was learning much more than how things went together.
Recently, I wanted a hanging bed for my son. My dad helped—and did much of the building. As my son watched his grandfather work, I saw a familiar scene: the same curiosity I’d felt watching my own dad all those years ago.
That’s where Built Together Workshop began. Not with the idea that we have to know everything, but that we can show up, share what we know, and figure things out together.
My dad, a retired aeronautical mechanical engineer, and I are the co-owners and operators. We want to give kids room to create, practice patience, solve a problem, and discover that asking for help is part of becoming capable.
A little practical knowledge. A little more confidence.
And something meaningful built together.
Confidence grows when children have the support to try. Safe tool handling and guided learning are central to our approach.
We focus on learning how to handle tools carefully, take time, and ask for help along the way.
Tool selection and how children will be supervised will be shared before registration opens.
Drop-off is available. Drop-off, pickup, and supervision details will be provided before registration so you can make an informed decision.
